Running cooled seats blows hot air through back vents?

Mine blows hot air out the back of the seat. I checked my daughters 14 4Runner and its does not blow hot air out anywhere. Only pulls air from under the seat and they do get cold.

those are intake ports on the back side of the front seats. They do no exhaust air.

My '14 blows air out the back, I do not believe you are correct.

They're actually both. One vent draws air in, the other exhausts.

Newbie here with a 16 Yukon Denali. "I searched for "cooled seats" and landed in this topic. My question is wether or not both the seat bottoms and seat backs are supposed to be cooled. I have felt that the seat bases cool, back the backs actually feel like they are heating, both passenger and driver. I work at a residential HVAC company and borrowed someones Infrared camera this weekend and my feelings were confirmed. After a 20 minute drive home from work with both driver and passenger cooled seats on their highest settings, the seat bases registered a cool blue color and the both seat backs (in a clearly defined rectangle area comprised of three separate rectangles) were a warm orange color(can try to post pics if needed). Odd thing is that in the middle row, both seats registered nearly the same cool blue, bases and backs, while the fronts were definitely warm on the seat backs. I wonder if it is possible that the Peltier elements may have been installed backwards, giving me the heated side rather than the cool?
