Free XM Radio

It looks like we have a free XM Sirus radio promo going on. Not shure if it is regional or nation wide. These promos usually last a couple weeks.

Yeah. no OzzysBoneyard. I would only listen to that and Fox News. The only reason I won't subscribe to XM is because of the sound quality. SD cards and other media just sound better to me. If XM would fix that I would sign back up.

I canceled XM after they fired Anthony Cumia from the Opie & Anthony show. That was the only reason worth keeping it in my opinion. However, being that local rock radio sucks and Pandora uses a lot of data on my work-provided phone, I'll probably tune into Lithium for the trial period haha

I can get all the content I need through my own music files, FM or free smartphone radio apps like Spotify, iHeart, Pandora, so I don't miss anything by not having XM.

XM was amazing when it was it's own company. They went to crap when they merged with Sirius and it began to sound like the crappy free FM radio you could get locally. And yes the sound quality is not good either when compared to CD's or iPods but in my opinion it's way better than anything you'd ever get on FM. Still, it's not worth it in my opinion and they're a dying format. No one willingly signs up anymore. Most of the subsribers are new vehicle purchasers that are too lazy to research other formats so they keep renewing. Or they're old like my parents haha

XM radio has their own free 2 month trials that go on every once in a while. I saw it popup on slickdeals every once in a while. When I bought my truck last year it came with the trial but somehow it lasted for 11 months on its own before they canceled it. But to contribute to the topic if you want xm, then just check slickdeals every once in a while and see if they have the free trial for 2 months.

I agree. There are better options out there, but SiriusXM still has way better sound quality than any of the local FM stations. If XM would pick up Rush Limbaugh I wouldn't listen to terrestrial radio at all.

 

I keep it mainly for news and sports, but I do listen to Willie's Roadhouse and Prime Country too.

The only reason i subscribe is i am a Canadian Logger, 11 hours a day with no aux port or usb lol so SiriusXM it is. the worst channel for sound quality is comedy95. Opie and little Jimmy Norton keep me laughing for the first 4 1/2 hours lol well jimmy. not so much Opie hahah
