Tow Tire with Snow Capabilities?

Would please like to hear the board's input on LT or E Load rated tires that have decent snow handling. Highway largely with mild OR. This is for '15 Sierra 1500 CCSB 6.2L Max Tow package.

 

Use is primarily for boat and camper towing duties, plus battle wagon in Colorado snow ski season. Family and sports gear hauler.

 

Duratracs, TKO2 or Destination AT with LT rating, Silent Armors, other recommendations?

I had great luck with the BFG AT's, but haven't bought a set since about '05.

 

Our '10-1500 had the p rated tire "wiggle" towing our travel trailer (about 7200lbs loaded, ~920lbs tw), so I decided on the Cooper A/T's LR C. Completely eliminated the "wiggle". Great traction in all conditions I encountered (no mudding, so no idea there- only one unknown) dry, rain, deep snow, gravel road, etcplus they have a 50 or 55k mile tread warranty (can't remember exact).

Should add the snow traction was tested in a few storms that were pretty bad, including snowmobile trips to Northern Mi and the Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario area.

General Grabber AT2's are great in the snow. I've never had a flat or any other problems with multiple sets. Off road, on-road, or overloaded. They also have the mountain snowflake emblem which will get you through a snow tires/chains checkpoint in the western and mountain states.

My Cooper ATPs handled Bert Pass with about 8" of snow in 2wd without breaking a sweat, I was very impressed with the stopping power too. But if snow is your top concern, I'd check out the ATW's, they're extreme rated and from what I've heard, are great in snow and on slick pavement.

my 13 duramax came with michelin ltx at2. great highway and towing tire, great on wet roads and quiet but the snow performance was just ok. i used them for 2 winters and with 30,000 miles on them they will be coming off at the threat of snow and put back on in the spring. i picked up a set of spare factory wheels off craigs list and bought a set of cooper m&s snow tires for the winter.i like the michelins so much i decided to get seperate winter tires so i could keep them on for the other 9 months of the year. i had the grabber at2s on last truck and were great in the beginning but once they had 10,000 on them the performance went down hill fast even in the rain and couldnt wait to get them off the truck. best all around tire i have used is the bfg commercial traction tire. the sizes are limited but by far the best all around tire.

My Cooper AT3's were great in the snow and rain, and they wore really well. They still had good tread left at 50k when I swapped them for my new Toyo's. I only tow a small camper, but they did just fine with that. They were also pretty quiet on the highway, except for the last 10k or so, when they started to get a bit louder.

Thanks gents, will look more closely at the Coopers, Gen Grabbers, Toyos, perhaps others. I tend to get stuck on Tire Rack consumer ratings which exclude a few great brands.
