Hankook Dynapro ATM

Anybody running Hankook Dynapro ATMs on their truck? Looking for feedback on how people like them. I've been looking at the Cooper ATP also, but have heard that as they wear they get noisy.

Thanks!

Was going to buy the Hankooks but Discount didn't have them in stock that day, so I got the ATP's. Like them so far.

A coworker is running them on his ram in 275/65. He said he loves them. Probly has 15K on them now.

Fat fingered and shot from the hip.

Have had a set for about a month now and have no complaints. The guy at discount tire talked me into the Hankooks even though they were less expensive than the Coopers.

Sounds like they are pretty good tires then, I think I might go with them!

I recall Dynapro's being fairly light in weight compared to some others. I was impressed.

Yeah, only 41 lbs for my stock size which is nice because I do a lot of highway driving for work.

If i wouldntve got such a great deal on my Nitto graps, i wouldve pulled the trigger on the hankooks. Price is right and get stellar reviews

Check out the Tirerack reviews of the Kooks, pretty high marks for blend of road manners, snow traction, and mild AT to go along with great price.

What was his sales pitch on the Hankooks over the Coopers?

Ok, first off, if a forum admin reads this, please remove the option to post if you're not signed in...I lost my whole response once I hit Post because I wasn't signed in. The option to reply shouldn't even be available if your not signed in.

Now for the shorter version of my original response...

1. better siping

2. softer compound (better in the cold)

3. pushing to sell a cheaper tire (feels like it's more about the tire than the money)

I would have bought whatever the sales guy recommended (Cooper or Hankook). Had I gotten a different sales guy I may have ended up with the Coopers...who knows? My particular sales guy seemed to really like the Hankooks.

???? I thought they were ridiculously heavy compared to everything else???

For instance, in 275/65/r20 the specs I found showed the Hankook dynapro weighing 70 lbs!! BFG T/A KO2 is 57 lbs, nitto terra grappler G2 is 57 as well I believe

Just my 2 cents, but the Hankook Dynapro's are GREAT! I put them on my 2005 Silverado Crew Z71 over a year ago and have loved them from the beginning. If you keep them rotated and with the correct PSI, you can get some good mileage out of them. In the past 16 months, I've put something like 35K miles on them and still have great tread. Plus after all the miles its still quite. I really can't complain about them a bit. Plus if you look around at all the review's, they rate really well.

Keep in mind, that I've had BFG KO2's, DC FCII's, Coopers ATP's, and now the Dynapro's. Out of all of them, the KO2's and Dynapro's are my favorite. The tread does well while offroad , in snow, and on the beach. But most of all they have a quite sound on the road. Because of this, they will be the first tires I buy for my '15 Silverado when I need new one's.

Thanks for the insight! Helps with my decision a lot!
