Can the GMC Factory Tonneau Cover go through a carwash?

I wash my vehicles by hand, even during the winter months when it is near 40 or above, but when it is too cold, I go through a brushless car wash to get them clean -especially underneath.

This is my first truck and I need to know if I can go through a touchless car wash with the GMC factory trifold soft Tonneau cover?

I don't keep anything in the back, so I'm not concerned about leaking, I just don't want to damage the cover.

YES , I have ACCESS Tonneau cover on my 2015, also had one on my 2012 , No problems . I used both touch / touchless car washes . still looks good . MY TRUCKS get weekly washes . Hope this Help.

I have the Access too. I get a little seepage of water between the rails and the bed. No big deal though, it's a truck bed

GM OEM accessory cover here (soft roll). Been through a touch-less multiple times now, no issues.

Shouldn't be any problem. I have had Access rollup covers on my various trucks since 2001 and never had a carwash cause any issues.

I think the bigger issue here is that you're taking your new truck through a car wash...a black one at that. I use 3 buckets to wash my truck and it still gets swirl marked up. If I were you i'd be looking for a hand wash detail shop. But then maybe not everyone is as OCD as me about paint care . Great looking truck though.

From about early March until November, I only hand wash all three of my black vehicles -I use Griots stuff. My truck is my DD, so in the winter, I occasionally have to travel out of town in the snow & salt of Central NY (Ave. 120").

We have some very good high pressure brushless car washes, so right when I get back, I like to go through one to get as much crap off as I can -especially the underside.

I have found that if there are no bushes, just high pressure water, that they don't make any swirl marks, but the pressure is high enough that I was concerned that it may damage a vinyl trifold cover.

For regular washing, I have a heated garage with a hose, but I can't wash vehicles in the garage.

If it is at least upper 30's, I fill my bucket with hot water, put on some heavy rubber gloves and wash my vehicles -I can then pull into the garage to dry them off.

I dig OCD too -the day I brought my truck home from the dealer I clay barred and waxed the hood & roof to get the grit from sitting outside on the dealers lot off of it.
