Almost at 23k miles and seats are in perfect condition. Although I take care and apply conditioner once every two months. I also have step boards with the accessory driver grab handle to lift me off the seat instead of sliding. No wear anywhere!

I'm at 11k and they are holding up just fine I have the boards and assist handle I also bought the sun shade for the dash i go beyond limits to take care of the leather but won't be dissappointed if it doesn't seen beyond 100k I keep hearing katskin is the best I hope more can chime in on this.

I think leather is easier to keep clean.

'Leather appointed' seats are standard on SLT/LTZ and optionals are also leather.

 

SLT/LTZ is required to get the the 6.2.

 

Therefore, all 6.2's leave the factory in trucks with leather seats.

 

And since reg cab trucks are not available in SLT/LTZ trim, no reg cab trucks get the 6.2.

 

OP, this is the answer to your question...no...

 

NOT whether any of us like the leather seats...that is another question...?

I hated leather until I got my car. Next truck will have leather heated and cooled seats

The heated and cooled seats in these trucks suck. Hard leather and crappy heating. The solid leather seats are like a good baseball glove. Excellent heat. Just finished a 10 hour drive... Very relaxing and no shifting seat.

I've hated the heated seats in every vehicle I have ever had except for this truck. I don't like a lot of heat at all, and in my 2004 SLT even the lowest setting made me uncomfortable. But here I can put it on low or medium and just feel a nice warmth.

 

This is my first and only experience with cooled seats, but they are amazing especially on long drives to prevent a sweaty lower back. It's obvious they are not actual A/C vents blowing out of the seats, but they are definitely noticeable and functional.

After 6k miles, my outer driver's seat is already cracked and the bolster is sagging where I slide out of it. I have the factory running boards but no grab handle. I do have short legs so I definitely slide off the side of the seat until my feet hit the running boards.

 

I've owned the truck since July and have never used leather conditioner though.

Seats are in good condition at 32k miles, but driver's side bolster is cracking. I don't particularly care as it's just cosmetic and won't rip open any time soon. But I wish the LTZ/SLTs got the real leather seats like the Denali.

Denali has the same crap "leather", just has a couple extra rows of stitching which doesn't help, just looks better.

 

These fake leather seats are covered in a clear coat like coating so treating them doesn't help.

I would describe the leather seats more like "Painted Leather"

When I refinish leather using Surflex colorant, I'm actually re-coloring leather, not re-dyeing it. Basically, I'm painting it.

I was not aware that the leather in the Denali was the same fake stuff. It feels a lot thicker, and doesn't shine as much as the vinyl. Oh well...
