Well I installed a new K&N 63 series Aircharger intake the other day and got an updated tune from Lew with the intake on. WOW.

Throttle response was better before i got the updated tune from Lew, then with the new tune it just screams. It's awesome and so fun to drive!
My MPGs keep improving as i get more miles on the tune as i'm sure it's still learning fuel trims and such. No hard results yet as they keep changing as the truck learns the tune better and I haven't had a solid highway trip to really test it... but more updates to come.

Truck is WAY quicker and a ton more fun to drive though!

I have a question on your exhaust since I plan to do what you did. Is the 14" mag oval or round and if oval is it centered or offset?

Also, did the custom tune pick back up some of the low end torque you lost with the the exhaust?

The intake picked up the low end torque that was lost.

The muffle, i'm pretty sure, is oval and centered. I'll double check here in a little bit though.

The custom tune very much improved how well the intake and exhaust work together to improve power though.

If you do performance upgrades, i would highly recommend a tune. It helps get your money's worth out of those upgrades.

Took the air dam off the front of my truck just now. Like it so far but I haven't even left the house since I did it. Also ordered some new Method Grids a couple of days ago. Excited for those to come in as I've wanted some methods for a couple years now.

Keeping my BFGs for now and selling the stock wheels. Pic below of the methods I ordered.

It's an oval and input is offset, output is centered. Don't know the part number though. Just told my shop here I wanted a 14" with 3" in/out and they did it.

Also update on the tune performance. This truck just screams now. Incredibly quick compared to stock.

My gas mileage on the highway at 75-80 is regularly in the 20mpg range, and sometimes even better. My best on a trip is currently 23.5 for about a 130 mile trip on highway with 75mph speed limit.

What offset did you go with on the rims? Also, what octane did you tune at?

Tuned at 87 octane.

On the wheels i went with +18mm offset.

Once the 275/70r18 bfgs i have now wear out i'm hoping to go with either 295/70r18 nittos or 305/65r18 falken at3s if they will fit.

They have arrived!

I'll be getting them installed this weekend.

These look even better in person!

Thanks! I've been looking for some methods like these for quite a while and found a ridiculous deal on them!

bbwheelsonline.com has daily deals and I found these for $139 a wheel!!!! They're normally $250-260/wheel.

Check them out!

What color is that supposed to be? Looks like some sort of steel blue. I only see black and titanium for the grids on methods site. When you get them installed, I'd love to see the same picture from the same angle taken from inside your garage if you wouldn't mind.

Well I got the new wheels installed this morning.

I only have a couple of pictures right now. I will try to get more soon.

These are 18" method grids in the titanium color and a +18 offset.

Tires are BFG KO2s in 275/70R18.

I switched the tires from white letters out to black just for a change.

Now I am feeling like I need to get rid of some chrome!!!

I also plan to go with bigger tires here before too long. Wider and hopefully taller as well.

Looks very good.

Chrome delete is my next step as well.

You could always go up another few inches so you can fit a 35 on there. Would look great with those rims.

THANKS!

I would LOVE to have 35s.

But, i think i would rather have a mid travel kit than a lift to be honest. Maybe fenders and mid travel will be in store!

I think since my wife and I are both pretty short thats the best way to go... and in light of that i can't get rid of running boards completely, so i'd probably sell these and then get some N-Fab steps or something.

Decisions, Decisions.

I am, however, looking at getting either 295/70/18s or 305/65/18s which are both around 34"

So that should help a little and apparently they dont rub either!
