So I am knew to all this kind of stuff. When you guys say it gives you 2 inches. Does that mean it lifts the truck 2 inches higher? Because I would like to lift my truck a little higher but not cause any damage to the truck longer term like how people mention lifts do.

Yes, this suspension, if i remember correctly, can lift your truck 0-3". It basically does the same as a leveling kit, except it is better for your truck, as long as you get aftermarket UCA and such for the extended travel you now have, but it also upgrades your suspension to better then stock. Bilstien is another popular brand, they lift your vehicle around 2" and Rancho quick lifts is another. Those are the cheaper versions, still good products though. This type of suspension is called "ride height adjustable suspension" usually. Icon, Fox, and Kings are the more expensive brands, quite a bit more expensive actually haha. It's all about the money you want to spend. I plan on getting bilstiens first and then in the future upgrade to Icon.

Thanks for the info and the brand names. This is something I would be interested in doing as it would give me the lift I'd want with out stressing the system. I'd just have to see the warranty on it.

Upper control arm. Camburg makes a nice one. Im not super mechanically inclined but if you do a little research, you'll learn a lot! Based on what I've read I'd go with camburg. I know for some stages of the Icon suspension it actually comes with a uniball UCA made by Icon. Both are good.

my icons were delivered today i ordered the standard travel 71500 but i got the extended travel 71505 so now i have to decide weather i want to get new control arms or ship them back.

just got off the phone with icon they discontinued the standard travel version so all you can get is the extended travel now they say you can use them with your stock arms if you cut the droop stop off but I'm not sure if thats a good idea or not or to get the new arms not sure why they let you order the standard travel and then just ship you the extended you would think they would pull those off the website if there discontinued.

I have Icon Stage one on my 2015 GMC ALl-terrain. I absolutely love it. The reason I went with the Icons was because I had them on my last truck(toyota) and was so happy with them. Also, there seem to be many issues with the fox 2.0's. The Icons are 2.5, so you may pay a bit more than Fox, but worth it imo. It is literally night/day as compared with the horrid Rancho suspension that came stock on the all-terrain model. They gave a 2" lift out of the box, and now my truck is set at exactly the right height. I got them installed by ORW in Escondido, ca. Great setup for the casual off-roader. I did not go for the higher stages, because I am on-road majority of the time, and only offroad for camping and going to snow/mountains with family. I can not say enough good things about them, no issues what so ever. For more in-depth reviews, go to the Toyota forums, they are so much more popular on Toyotas, not sure why more people dont use them on GM trucks!!!

Thanks for the info man. Thats kind of annoying they didn't let you know. Extended travel is what I want though! Down side is the extra $600-700 for the new arms though. Id probably just do it the right way and get the new arms if I were you.

Do you guys put the setup on your own or do you get a shop to do it? If so how much does it cost for the work?

ordered new set of upper arms today from cognito they do have them now for the aluminum suspension trucks there not on there website yet but if you call you can get them should be a great set up with the icons.

That's only true for the Fox 2.0's. The better quality coilovers with the locking collar can be adjusted on the truck.

Just had mine installed on Tuesday. Don't notice any difference in ride although we installed billy 5100's at the same time. They do make the ball joint angles look much better. I'd like to eventually replace this set up with Kings or the like which will go great with the Cognito UCA's. Make sure you use synthetic grease for the bushings though, not petroleum based.
