Thinking about mounting other light bar to the swing case. If you absolutely need a rear facing led, you can even direct the beam. Thoughts of installing it here?

Living in the rural area I always had good luck with floods on the rear, and had trapezoid's in the front of my truck. And they were just old tractors field lights.

As a work light? Not a bad idea. I would go for a 2x2 LED just for a smaller profile. You'll be blinded if you ever need to work on something on your tailgate lol. Would be hard to remove the swing case as well. Maybe some quick-disconnects on the body side?

It is. So is running HID's in a non-HID housing, and people do it all the time. I think this is even more dangerous as its blinding oncoming traffic.

 

I'm by no means justifying using rear-facing LED's though.

Where did you get those switches? I'm interested in any more pics you have to. That being said I have almost the exact same lights mounted in the same spot. Mine were from Eyourlife on amazon, I think around $25 shipped. I use for backing at night, cheap and effective. I supposed I could flash them if I wanted to for the same reason as the op stated.
