Philips Reverse/Cargo Light LEDs

Installed Philips 921 LEDs (12841B2) yesterday for both the cargo lights and the reverse lights. The lights are high quality with good output and can be had for around $25 a set. Very pleased with them overall and if you are looking for LED replacements for your reverse or cargo lights I would highly recommend them.

Can you tell a difference using your backup camera at night? I would like to go LED for my reverse lights but some images I have seen here make me think they won't light up the area as well on the backup camera.

I would say it looks as good if not better when using the backup camera.

I have the same lights and from what I can tell in the camera its not much better but the side mirrors I can tell a big difference.

I put LED rev lights in my 2014, they are twice as bright as the stock ones. They helped for sure in regards to the backup camera, I will say this though. As much as everyone complains about the GM reverse camera, the one on my wifes Audi is not any better. The reverse lights barely put off any light at all.

To be fair that's my brake and reverse lights as I didn't think reversing into the street while taking a picture of my backup camera was a good idea

The house across the street is lit up vey well by the reverse lights just like in my case. It must be that the ground behind the bumper is lit up by your brakes. I had used my parking brake (so no brake lights)

I posted this elsewhere but this is what I have on my Jeep now. If you back up toward something painted a light color it hurts to look in the mirror.

Haha my neighbor has similar led pods on the backrack of his truck wired to the reverse lights and it turns night into day when he backs up.
