So I had a Tahoe and Silverado within the past couple of years both being 2WD. I had swapped the transmission servos in both to the corvette servo.

The difference is very good with the trucks shifting at the exact shift points and preventing the trans to continually downshift. As a matter of fact, in each of these trucks I could mash on the pedal and they would chirp going from 1st to 2nd and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd.

Question is whether or not this swap could be done with my 4WD?

Same transmission, just different tail piece. I know the corvette servo mod is big on the 4L60E's not so sure about the 6L80E's

No servos in these transmissons. 6L50, 6L80, 6L90, 8L45, 8L90, 6T3X, 6T4X, 6T7X, etc. They are all clutch to clutch, no bands to apply and hold. All clutch sets. All shifting is solenoid driven and TCM controlled. A transmission tune would be in order to change the way these new transmissions shift.

Hmmm...new to this mod, would this Corvette Servo work in a 2016 Z71 6spd?

Also, would it work with a Blackbear tune, or would that be redundant?

No. No servo band control in 6 or 8 speed transmissions

Ahh...I wasn't sure what the trans code was, but now I see it's a 6L80...oh well, back to plan A

There are a few HP parts for the 6l80's check Sonnax out, I bought the Zip kit, Pump spring, billet piston, and Line booster plus a Circle D converter. just need to take a day to remove and install. The line booster is progressive which means the low throttle shifts will be a bit better than stock and the WOT shifts will be a lot more performance based shifts firmer (tire chirping)

Whoa...a lot of parts there!

I like the PDF layout, which shows all the parts and where they go.

Unfortunately, I'm not that mechanically incline to disassemble the tranny and install these parts.

Going to go with BB instead, but thank you for the info!

How did you like it? Worth the money? These 6l80e shift super lame, even with a blackbear tune. Looking to do exactly what you did....thoughts?
