Hey guys I'm really thinking about putting an Air Raid CAI on just wanted to get your thoughts and opinions and maybe which one to put on. I will also have a diablo tune done before the intake

If anything do the tune after the intake.

I have a airaid MIT. Had my tuner look at my logs and the intake didn't do really anything. Its more for looks.

The stock intake is more than adequate.

Don't do tune til after cai install. I have a volant power core and love it

I have the airaid full CAI

Wile i didnt notice a difference in power it was worth it in sound.... Love the growl when you get on it. After a few more bolt ons you will see the benefits of the CAI

I went with the AFE Momentum GT CAI, this was the best option IMO when looking at all of them.

Has a great growl, the intake tube is coned shaped with the filter end being very large and goes down to a smaller size (same as other brands entire tube size).

Put your Factory one back on and you will notice the difference right away.

I always stick mine back on when I take it in for service and can't wait to get home and put the Airaid back on.

My truck will also bog down every now and then with the OEM box never does it with the Airaid.

Just keep the factory air box and add the air raid tube with a new highflow filter. That's all you need and will save you tons of money.

How is the sound with just the factory air box and air raid tube? I dont any thing too loud, I appreciate the quite cabin in these trucks, but just want a little more growl when I mash the right pedal.

I would also like to know if you still get the growl with the MIT and stock air box.

Yes...you get a growl...just not as annoying as the full cai

I think there is also some data that showed the airaid tube alone ( with factory airbox) produces more HP that the full CAI - go figure.

I can't find the post, but it's somewhere on here. ..
