Hello all. Just picked up a 2016 Silverado LT z71. This is my first pickup truck. I gotta say I love it. My 8 year old son loves it too. He can't wait to go out for rides. It's black and has the all star package, as well as the LT convenience. I do allot of traveling on the parkway and am currently experimenting with different speeds to get the best gas mileage. Had the vehicle about 10 days and can already see I get better mileage not using cruise control. Best 25 mile is 26 mpg. Around town driving I use the sport mode and lock it out in 4th or 5th depending on the speed limit. 6th on the parkway. I gotta say 5th gear doing 50-55 miles per hour the v8 chugs along at 25-30 mpg. Not to bad. Anyhow I'm glad I made the switch. Gotta enjoy life before it passes you by.
