2in. Front Level vs. 2.5" Front Level + 1" Rear Level...

Okay well I think I made a mistake. I ordered a Rough Country 2.5" Leveling Kit for $150, it will be here tomorrow.

That being said...I just noticed Rough Country has a 2" Front ONLY level for $50...

Other then getting an extra 1/2in...is there any reason why I wouldn't just return the $150 and buy the $50 one?

I feel like an idiot for ordering the wrong one, at least I think I did...I'm never going to lift or put giant tires on my truck so will the 2" cut it for me?

Thanks.

Keep it. You will be happy you did.

I do not have "giant tires" on my truck and the 2.5 level looks perfect.

I'm sure it looks good.. I'm just a little annoyed with installers in my area.

Got a few quotes for $200+ for 3 hours of labor.

I figure I can do the 2" one myself and not have to worry about it.

Ah I said screw it and went with the 2" Front. I save $100 and can just install it myself in the driveway.

It's all about your preference. Personally 2+ in level looks noise high to me... even though the measurements will still show a little rake. It's just the design of these new trucks.

I would only have the 1.5in under strut blocks. These trucks need 1.5in -2in of front end rake to look right IMO .

Jesus.... My 2" level install was free because i bought it along with new tires.

Got 2 of them done at the same time.

Me and my girls 2014s were leveled and new tires at the same time... Maybe took 2hrs with alignment and all.

Agreed with above. I just got the RC 2" front lift, and more often than not seemed too high in the front. So I bought the RC rear block off of the 2 1/2 RC lift/level. Now it sits with just a bit of rake.

I just did the same thing on my new 2015 I put 2" supreme suspensions upper blocks as soon as I put a load or a trailer on I didn't like it and after it was empty the back Sat 1/2" lower so I bought a Add a leaf kit from rough country and this lifted the back 2 1/2 inches so now I'm back to ware I started it doesn't sag any more after trailer loads though I like that so I'm trying to decide if get a 1 1/2" lower block for the front or a 1" block. any ideas?

There are a few threads on this forum and many on other forums that deal with the same question asked in different ways. You are right to be asking and researching. My original plan was the same as you to do a 2.5" level/ lift until I posted my question. Researching this topic is a really good reading exercise. You will find compelling arguments to justify or dismiss any level and or lift you choose. I personally have benefitted from the experiences of contributors such as GMC-AT. He has tried many levelling configurations on these new trucks and now uses 1.5" bottom spacers. These look great, maintains some rear load capacity and have minimal potential for front end problems. You may wish to include the thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/183204-consequences-of-a-15-level-lift-on-a-sierrasilverado-1500/ in your research. I will be going with a 1.5" front level when I get my new tires.
