I'd guess the ODBII port but I didn't know they came with covers on them. That's about where it's located on my '06 and '09. Plus all the other vehicles I've messed with.

Yeah OBDII port is farther to the left and it quite a bit larger then the box in question.

Looks after-market, those Philips screws rather than torx. Suspicious to say the least.

Have you pushed the button to see what it does? Ejector seat? Did you get a aftermarket fob with the truck could be part of an aftermarket alarm or remote start.

For sure aftermarket like mentioned maybe part of an aftermarket alarm or a kill switch for the ignition. Maybe for your laser gun that's mounted in the grill lol

It is an overpriced ripoff pre installed alarm that dealers try to get you to pay for.

It is redundant to the factory theft system.

The plug is the disabling device that gets inserted along with wireless command from a controller when the purchaser says 'No Thanks!'
