Factory Speaker Size on 08 Silverado Crew Cab

Since it hasn't warmed up much here I figured I'd save myself from pulling off the door panels and just ask what the speaker size is front and back. Never a fan of messing with plastic in the cold..

 

Searched a few threads and there seems to be a couple of differing opinions.

 

As much as I can figure it's 6 1/2" front and rear without having to add any adaptors etc?

 

I'm just looking to take the old ones out and drop in some new ones without investing a tone of money, at this point in the game.

Think they are 6 1/2". I replaced mine with Kickers in all 4 doors and used the factory adapter bracket. The OEM speakers are made into the adapter, but I cut the speaker out of the adapter with a dremel and set the new speaker in the adapter. Marked the mounting holes and drilled holes and mounted the new speakers to the brackets.

actually are 6 3/4 but 6.5 is what I use always.
