Towing

I have 3 questions. I have a 2014 Sierra crew cab and I am going to purchase a 30' travel trailer. 1. Do you recommend tow mirrors? 2. What Temps should I expect to see on my transmission temp. 3. When is it too high?

Your truck should pull it just fine, of course depending on the overall weight of the rig and your gear.

Be sure to check your tongue weight and watch your payload.

Tow mirrors are friggen awesome!! Of course, they are terribly expensive. Clip ons work OK. I'll be forced to go back to my clip ons because my 2500 didn't come with tow mirrors. Crazy!

It's not a truck if it doesn't have tow mirrors.

Can't speak for GAS setup as far as temps go.

Diesel with allison trans I have seen temps as high as 240 pulling in 105 degree heat with strong headwind. That was like 200k miles ago. Since had radiator cleaned out. Temps typically run 195 on the coolant and under 170 on the trans.
