From a '15 I looked at, the double cup holder could be removed and reinstalled in the front of the console. The small storage area below would have been about perfect for a Glock 43.

My 2016 LT Z71 has 3 USB ports. 2 in the center arm rest and 1 in the upper glove box. It also has 1 charging port in the armrest, and 1 on the dash. Also has 1 115 volt receptacle on dash. Belive the 115 is an option. No center console on mine. Have the 40/20/40 bench. It says that even though the seats are really buckets. Hope this helps

Does anyone know if you can replace the console insert in the 2017 with the 2015 so you can get the removable cup holders they look like they would interchange and it's a $200 option if it works

I just checked my 2017 and the cup holders are not removable. Wow I have had the truck a couple of months and didn't even notice. I did notice the sd card slot is also gone from inside the center console. I guess its not that big of a deal for me, When I traded my 2014 i lifted the cup holders out and had nothing in the lower compartment. Strange that they would make that change. I guess it likely saved money.

I know that the 2015 Console Cup Holder (the bucket seat option) are removable. You pull up and the cup holder module pops right revealing a "secret compartment" underneath the cup holder.

 

I have a 2016 and I have tried to lift the same module out and it is really not movable at all.

 

Am I missing something? Is the 2016 cup holder module removable or not?

Actually they did it to eliminate squeaks. There were a lot of complaints about squeaks coming from the edges of the console and even a bulletin to add felt flocking tape to the trim. By making the cupholders a permanent part of the trim it stiffened up the edges and made the squeaks go away.
