KillItWithFire Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I have a question regarding the bolt hole sizes for my truck, does anybody know the way to find out what size hole to buy for the rear rotors? Chevy decided to make 2 sizes and I can't find out how to tell which size I need. I had read the bigger size is for the diesel, so I bought the smaller size but it seems like they don't fit. Any suggestions before I pack up and return the rotors and buy the other set?
Chris Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 8x6.5 is the lug pattern. Is it a 1500HD, 2500, 2500HD, 3500? All these have a 6.0. The first 2 use a semi-float and the latter 2 use a full-float
00Silverado4x4 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 If you have a semi-float rear it will take the smaller rotor (hub opening size) and if you have full-float it will take the larger rotor (hub opening size). I just went through this a few months ago when I had to replace my rear brakes.
