My dad is a retired GM Zone Manager... For my SLT 5.3 I paid $51k, taxes in. MSRP was $62.5k here (Alberta, Canada).

 

When you're a direct family member of a GM employee, the employee goes onto GM's online login thing and gets a "Home Office Letter" (no idea why it's called that). That letter has a number that you bring to the dealer and you get factory invoice price plus $500, I believe. The dealer gets 5% of invoice price.

Basically saying that $60k isn't out of line for a '16 Denali.

Hey camcamaro, they did install the bracket but I haven't really looked to see how it's attached. I will take a look . I've been very tempted to try without a front plate but figured it'd be a hassle. I wonder how they are about it in the Austin area....

I knew you had to be in the austin area with those pics. I work in austin but live north. I don't think they care too much about no front plate however it gives them the right to stop you anytime they want including after you go to dinner and have a beer. No thanks! Not going to give them a reason.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think the color matched fin is just on Denali and High Country and I believe it's new to 2016...on the 1500 truck platform anyways...

That's weird, wonder if they started doing later in production or something...several pics I've seen had them black...they should have done it much sooner either way.

Tallspawn, did the dealer mount that plate? its drilled and riveted I told my dealer if they installed it, they would be buying a new front chrome lower grill. IMO its better without the plate. I am also in TX no issues so far for the last 4 vehicles over the last 12 years.

 

The front plate is riveted into the steel bumper - and forced during build for any truck being delivered to a state using front plates.

      Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer

      Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.

      My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!

      Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
