07 Suburban Rear A/C Line Replacement

Good afternoon. I'm working on an 07 Suburban which has sprung a leak on the pressure line running to the rear evaporator. The leak is around the mounting clip just inside of the rear fender liner. I briefly considered using one of those splice kits but given the area and the condition of the rest of the line I believe I will replace it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I am under the impression that the lines come as one continuous piece. The reason I ask is that the guy at the parts counter told me I'd need "connectors" - GM41425-500. I know those connectors are not there on my current lines but perhaps when replacing the lines you have to do it in sections?

 

So the question is, will I be able to replace the lines in one piece or will it be necessary to cut them then splice them together?

I'd just cut & Swagelok the cracked area. Done right, they'll outlast the truck. Much easier than tearing half the truck apart and fighting with a long line. May have to splice a section in to get around the hanger, however .. but still an easy repair.
