Question
Billiruth Wickey
I have a 2000 Tahoe that the rear ac has mind of it's own! Several weeks ago the battery died and had to be jumped and the rear ac came on even though both controls were in the off position. I turned both controls several times and the ac went off and seemed to be working fine. Last week the rear ac started going on and then shutting itself off. Now the rear ac will not shut off while the truck is on. It does shut off when the truck is off but as soon as the truck is started the ac comes on and won't shut off.
I've changed the fuse even though that didn't seem like it could be the issue. I'd rather not have to take the truck into the mechanic if I can fix it myself and I don't want to start taking things apart if I don't have to. This wouldn't be too big an issue if it was going to be warm for a bit longer but it's not. Winter is just around the corner! :-(
