Good Deal? 6.2 Denali

The numbers seem good. The 8 speed transmission really scares me though.

I am also a little concerned about the new tranny. I bought a new Escalade in 2007 and GM made me jump through hoops before they would let the dealer tear the tranny apart. They ended up replacing the torque converter.

Man where is that deal at GMGUY0715 that would be the deal of the century in the middle TN area.

It was like pulling hens teeth to get 30k for my 2014 with 61k miles and still get 10k off the sticker on a 2016 Denali 6.2 at sticker $59,995.00 I would jump on that deal in a new york minute. Way I figured it was my 2014 sticker was around 50k and this Denali is at around 60k So I knew the deal was going to cost me 10k right off the bat then I have to figure out how much it should cost me to drive the 14 for 2.5 years and 61k miles which as it turned out it was 10k minus what I was getting ready to spend for tires/shocks/seat heater repair and some other issues which figured out to about 3k outlay so that is basically 7k for 30 months on the old truck so equivalent to 234.00 bucks per month truck payment.

I am pleased very pleased with this Denali, this is one heck of an upgrade. This 6.2 with the 8spd is a total beast and and with a little over 700 miles it is averaging 21 MPG that is actually better than my old sluggish 5.3 with the quirky 6spd

I found the same thing going from the 5.3 to the 6.2. I was in disbelief that my fuel mileage improved so much! Just took another road trip not watching my speed at all. 72-82 the whole way for 400 miles. 21 mpg!! Still find it crazy but the trans does have a lot to do with it, because to speed up a little or pass you don't have to do a big down shift, it only goes into 6th or 7th.
