UplandPa Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I'm really enjoying my truck, it's the best truck I've ever owned by far. There is one issue however, it seems that even a medium sized crate won't fit in the back seat area. I do a lot of upland hunting, so this is bothering me. My son has a 2010 Ext Cab and because of the way the door opens the crates fit fine. I took for granted that my 2015 would be the same, but no sir. Have any of you guys fit a decent size dog crate in one?
SouthernSilveradoGuy85 Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I myself do like the back doors are actual doors like Crew cabs instead of the suicide type that my '98 Extended cab had. I found out that the suicide door seems to make it easier to load bigger stuff in the back seat like if you or help someone move. Would be cool if GM would have figured out a way to make the door open both ways depending on how you needed it to open. If you're talking about a dog kennel/cage then what if you fold it up to get it in the cab and then unfold it while it's inside.
UplandPa Posted May 29, 2016 Author Posted May 29, 2016 "f you're talking about a dog kennel/cage then what if you fold it up to get it in the cab and then unfold it while it's inside." That's something I may want to try thanks!
quail hound Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Yep, get a nice soft side crate that can fold down. I got these before my Montana trip last year and they work great. These are the medium size but a springer could fit in a small too I'd imagine.
