What year are you looking 2017? Not a lot of deals on those yet wait til truck month and you can get 10k easy.

I've been looking at 2016's. I would've thought that since the 2017's are right around the corner dealerships would be willing to "deal". I haven't given up yet.

Me too. Could it be a shortage of Denali left? Not like they making more 2016 ones. Maybe these dealerships are holding out on them.... can still get 10k on sle and slts where I am for sure.

The Dodge is one tough truck. You did good by getting it. Very proud of your wife for insisting on no Fords!

I told my wife about your comment, she laughed :)

Keep shopping I got 13k off my 16 Sierra

In Colorado, i've found that the GM dealerships are not very friendly at going below $3000-4000 below listed price. He may need to look elsewhere, any of you folks know of good dealerships near Colorado that you've had a good experience with when it comes to price haggling?

I hope you treat her like royalty, my friend. Women like her are a rare breed indeed!

It looks like a great deal and probably hard to pass up over brand loyalty? At least your wife said, "No FORDS, I mean smart woman"

congrats sharp truck, I almost went to Ram when my '14 GMC 5.3 got totaled w/ 40k on the clock...I wanted a Power Wagon in Laramie trim but where I live (New England) power wagons are few & far between vs. the south or midwest & all the ones I could find were the middle trim & I hated the graphics & wanted the leather. I found the opposite in my case the Ram dealers would NOT budge much at all on the price for the power wagon especially on a swap or building one, they did discount the fully loaded 1500's by nearly $10g's on average...but that Hemi 5.7 is overrated & just feels slower than the near 400hp claimed.

I am torn between which HD truck I like better in terms of looks stock from the showroom floor IMO the Power Wagon in Laramie trim is the burliest, the loaded up cummins models sit real nice from the factory too but I saw a Denali HD in blue the other day that turned heads too.

Good luck w/ it...one thing is the MPG blows on the gasser HD's but I'm sure you already knew that

Needed to upgrade to a 2500HD for better towing. Six different GMC and Chevy dealerships wouldn't work with me on the price, even with my military discount.

Asked my wife if she'd look at a different brand since the GMC was her truck (I drive the Chevy RCLB), she said she would look at Ram trucks but not Fords.

Found a great deal on a Ram 2500HD CC 4x4 6.4 Hemi. MSRP was $44,600 got it for $32,300 before trade in. They gave us $30,000 for my wife's 2014 GMC CC 4x2 SLT with 33,000 miles on it.

It has the Uconnect radio, Sirius XM, remote locks including tailgate, integrated brake controller, backup camera and sensors and ....rear vents :)

What the heck. I need to know where you guys are going to trade in your vehicles lol I went to sell my 2015 cc gmc sierra 4x4 slt and they only offered me $35k and it only had 19k miles. I said **** that and walked away.

They put themselves in a bind, they knock 10-12K off the sticker, those people trade in in a year and are still upside down. The reality is that's what they intended to sell the truck for in the first place. People who don't get 10-12 K off are the suckers they buy off emotion. Two years is break even on a truck at 10-12K discount under 12K miles per year.

Some people drive the wheels off before replacing, and simply can't wait until truck month to buy.

It doesn't matter as much to those people, they get thier moneys worth. But there is always a truck they will discount the bigger the dealer the better.

easy buddy you live in TX come to MA & tell me they're discounting EVERY truck $10-12k - the dealers will tell ya "we don't give a damn the next rich bastard will walk in an hour later & I'll sell the truck to him"

True, dealers around here wont discount anything without a fight and will just show you the door if you point out Laura GMC or other discount dealers pricing.. So I drove 400 miles to get 24% off msrp without haggling. Depends on what your time is worth, some people dont want to spend the time or deal with negotiating a price and just buy a truck local for a few grand more. If you keep it for 5-10 years it really wont matter much, you will get you value out of it by using it. But if you trade every year or two then getting the lowest price is a must, dealers know when everyone is discounting 10-12K and thats why they will use auction prices instead of KBB to value trades. According to KBB my '16s trade in value is 2-3K more than I paid for it new - I will never get that in real money from a dealer on a trade unless they are pretty clueless.

Going to go ahead and defend this offensive comment. Texas isn't doing the discounts cause we don't have rich bastards. They are doing it cause of the amounts we sell. You get those discounts based on how many units a dealer sells. So it's not that we Texans don't have money it's cause we are a lot smarter than these MA guys I guess. Not going to pay 10k extra when we don't need to, no matter how much money we have.
