Agree. PDR will make it disappear.

 

The tech may be tempted to drill a hole in the door frame rather than pulling the panel -- not sure why so many of them like to do this. Make sure he pulls the panel even it if costs a bit more. Or pull it for him and save a few bucks.

Don't know where you are located, but I know an absolutely amazing PDR guy in North Carolina. He is literally a magician and makes what looks to be impossible to remove to just vanish before your eyes. Best I've ever seen.

In mass. I talked to a guy at my sons football practice and he said the same. He gas a enclave and said his vehicle gets a good amount of dings from his work and has pdr done and can never tell they were there. Definitely hope and feel they can fix it. Gonna stop by and check it out tomorrow!!

Good luck dude! I'm going in on thursday to pop a couple dents from a damn hail storm. Dad has used these guys before and they do great work...can't wait to have my truck back to like new panels!

Well I went to a place called dent n scratch. He said he would get it to 96% ish better and not noticeable to really anyone. 125. The one thing I did not like is he said on the inside of the door there is a small black plug about 5 inches below the window...on the same side as the latch. He said he would need to drill a hole to get in there and fix it. Yea..no drilling..sorry. The hunt continues

I would also recommend a reputable paintless dent repair shop.

 

Unfortunately a white cadillac slammed their door into my truck at the dealership.....major dent on the front of the rear passenger door....right where the crease is. It looked horrible and I was upset.

 

The dealer took care of it, had the truck for a day or two....paintless dent repair. It is now 98% gone and it is only me or a very sharp eye which can find it. It was also in an almost impossible spot for them to get to on the door. It looks so much better than it did before.

 

It will cost some $$$ but they can fix it paintless!!

 

EDIT: I was quoted $450 plus Tax, because My truck has already been rust sprayed it has holes in it that they used for access

Sometimes they can only get at it with a drilled hole, if its behind a reinforcement beam or lock mechanism there is not much they can do. They have to get a tool behind it to push it out and have some leverage.

 

One drilled hole in the door jamb with a plastic plug is way better than bondo and repaint, but for sure I would check around. 125 sounds a little steep, plenty of pdr guys around.

He owns a few patents to some of the tools. I have seen him pdr a four foot crease. He travels to dealerships around the country fixing cars. Mega talented.

In all honesty he thought he was a dead man and at I first I couldnt believe it happened. I held my cool though ...I had to remember I was 9 and messed up quite a bit too by accident.

What's amazing is these businesses. I have a couple calls to a few places but no calls back. Gotta recall em today

I put a small dent in my wife's Denali..with my door in our garage. My response was the same as yours.

I have a buddy who does painless repair, and within a day it was totally gone. I defy anyone to find the spot where the dent was.

Even dents that look impossible, he can get out.

 

I don't accept dents as part of being a truck, and there are none on any of my stuff. Just too anal I guess.
