LED headlight bulbs..... yes, another thread.

Just curious if anyone has seen these or bought them. I know of a few I am considering and generally the 60W with around 9000 Lumen LEDs have gotten the best reviews and output. I found these and they are 120W and 12000 Lumen. But they are so damn cheap, it scares me. Just thought I'd ask.

They are 120W LED bulbs..... most you see are 60W or less. More is better right? lol

"COB LED Chips"

Pass...

When their company profile reads and I quote "Lightspot specializes in LED since 2004 year. . For the past years, Lightspot commits itslef to make more reliable and more brighter LEDs." and reads like a spam email asking for a wire transfer you know you are buying a chinese knockoff. http://www.cob-led.com/about-us-COB-LED-Chips-on-board-China-manufacturer-profile.html

My advise is only run bulbs using Philips LED preferably the whole thing is built by them but only a handful of companies make actual LED chips but others can use the chips and build the bulb too which is common. If you cannot tell who makes the LED itself do not buy it will be junk 100% guaranteed.

Just install the Xenon Depot H11 low beams in my truck. LOVE them! Now I know what I was missing out on compared to the stock halogens in that projector housing.

15HDriver- are those the new ones they just came out with? Could you take some pictures of them installed? I've been thinking about getting those also.

Pics don't do it justice. This was in some good rain and wet roads tonight. The 9005 high beams are the Extreme. The H11 lows I think are? The box is different (white vs. the blue one that says Extreme right on it) and the heat sink band is silver in color rather than the anodized black on the 9005 bulbs. I did get the lows like, 3-4 weeks before the highs. All wiring is tucked within the the headlamps and the heat sinks are behind the dust caps as well. No drilling anything.

Have yet to be flashed as well. So far so good.

Highs and lows at the same time?

Highs and lows at the same time?

Yes the Silverado HD when you turn on the high beams the lows stay on. GMC have the single bulb lamps, where the Chevy HD run the stacked low/high beams like the 2007-2013 trucks.

Just ordered both sets for me! I'm super excited! I did order them without the CanBus so hopefully that was the right move.

You mentioned "without being flashed", what do you mean by that?

Thats cool. I never noticed on my 2013 1500. Just the 2500's?

My 2012 Silverado 1500 did the both bulb thing when turning the highs on. I'm pretty sure Sierras did as well until they switched to the single bulb deal.

Headlight aim and reflection/angle as seen from oncoming cars. My headlight aim is also unchanged from factory for both highs and lows. With the low beams, I have yet to be flashed by oncoming traffic.

Ahh...I see! Thanks!

I replaced my stock halogen projector headlights on my 2015 GMC 2500HD with an HID kit. It made a world of difference and now can drive at night safely. The stock lights were terrible and dangerous to drive with. I complained to the dealer as well as GM customer service and they were aware of an issue but were unwilling to do anything for me. So like I said I replaced the stock lights with the HID'S and today I went for a state inspection and they wouldn't pass me. They said I can't have aftermarket HID's installed period.

Has anyone gone through this?

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
