Questions on remote start and Borla exhaust

First I have a p/n 22997089 oem remote start kit on order for my truck. Is it as simple as it seems to be to install? It appears all you have to do is replace the hood latch, connect the ground and then route the harness through the firewall and connect it. My truck has all the needed RPO codes and yes I know the dealer will need to program it

Second I am considering a gm Borla exhaust p/n 19303336 and I would like some input from those of you who have the system on your truck. All I want is a nice throaty V8 rumble, I dont want my truck to be an obnoxious head turner that wakes up all the neighbors. Is this what I will get out of the Borla system?

For 96.99 with free shipping I installed the muffler only. Sounds awesome

Exactly the way to do it.

I hope the remote install goes smoothly. that is a great feature to have, I use it every day.

On the exhaust system the GM Borla catback dual exhaust is what I would consider a Gentlemen's exhaust not too loud but has a good rumble and when you push it that is when it gets loud just like you would expect. I assume that a muffler swap only would probbaly work and save money if your budget is tight. I am currently researching CAI's that is my next mod...... check out this GM Borla Exh sound bite below. computer does not quite do it justice but you can kind of get an idea.

If you like a light rumble, the GM performance exhaust is your best bet.

If you like a medium rumble, the Borla S-Type exhaust is your best bet.

If you like a loud rumble, the Borla Atak exhaust is your best bet.

And as Fav said, if you're on a budget, a muffler delete/swap is always the best bet.
