I have seen some threads about "Service Rear Vision Camera" appearing on the MyLink screen, but haven't seen any fixes.

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 High Country, 70,000 miles, "Service Rear Vision Camera" has appeared on my 8" screen. The distance marker lines still appear. Just do not get a picture from the camera and has "Service Rear Vision Camera".

I have inspected and cleaned the wiring and plug for the camera under the bed. Inspected the camera attached to the handle from the inside. Nothing appears damaged or worn.

What do I need to service to correct this?

How do I reset the rear vision camera with the MyLink Equipment?

Is there a fuse or relay that may be causing the problem with the connection?

Do I need to replace the cable?

Can installing LED brake/turn/park lights cause this issue?

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Jerry

I doubt this may help, but you could try pulling the fuse for the radio screen to perform a reset, it is located in the passenger side fuse panel at the end of the dashboard.

I get the same error message on my DIC, but the "rear park assist" error. Its happened a few times now, but always fixes itself after a few engine restarts. Not sure what the issue is.

Thanks for the tip on the radio fuse. Haven't thought of that, so haven't tried.

The posts I've seen have been the same....not sure what is causing it and it fixes itself have a few starts.

Unfortunately, mine has not fixed itself.

Thanks,

Jerry

My '17 has done the same thing several times but when it does the lines don't appear. Need to bring it in to be addressed along with several other things I have issues with. This '17 doesn't have near the build quality that my '14 had, but man I love the 6.2. Still very frustrating. [emoji51]

2014 Silverado with same issue. Seems like when I jiggle the gear lever sometimes it starts working like its a switch that's not activating fully. I would be interested if anyone knows a good fix.
