Lowering kit?

Considering a new truck. Have z71 now, Don't use 4wd much, but like most of us that have it, it's nice to have when you need it. I especially like when its wet, if I go to auto I can just punch it coming out of a curve and it sticks like glue, no traction control light kicking in like if you leave it in 2wd mode. I think If I went back to 2wd, I'd really miss that feature. I don't drive particularly hard or fast, but at certain times it's fun to feel the performance in weather and the 2wd really is a let down. Considering building a high performance street truck. Just doesn't seem like one out there for purchase new? I'm thinking a Sierra/Silverado with 4wd, debadging the 4wd, lowering kit, not crazy just down maybe 2 or 3" to where maybe the old SIlverado SS's (and trucks in general) USED to sit! 6.0 high performance. Maybe headers and dual exhaust. Bakflip. TUne. Any suggestions?

There is no 6.0 for the half ton. Your choices for any trim packages below LTZ/ SLT is either a 4.3 V6 or the 5.3 V8. I'm sure you could swap the 6.2 in but that would be big money, might as well turbo or supercharge it

I recommend getting a rcsb 4x4 pickup. If you're not looking for crazy low, you can just do drop shackles and remove the rear blocks. It gives you a nice level stance. Definitely get a 5.3 with 3.42 gears and a quality exhaust. You'll have a ball driving the thing. If you want a real aggressive look for a 4x4 go for a 2/5 drop and put on some 22" replicas with 305/40 tires. That'll be a nice street truck. Cheers!

(this is totally the build I'm in the process of, so i'm a little biased)

I second buying a rcsb. Lots of fun to drive. I'm glad I went with GM over Ram.

Thanks guys. I really need a crew cab, so the rcsb is out of the running. Yeah I meant 6.2. Guess I'm living in the past haha. Anybody know the name of the most reputable drop spindle manufacturer?
