Adding Factory Power Assist steps to a truck

Hello I'm looking to see how I can add the factory power assist steps to my truck where it did not come with them. I've got a 2017 Sierra Crew cab with every option except that. Mainly I'm trying to find what the partnumbers are for the step I'm fairly certain I can get them to work once I find them.

Get Amp steps. They are better

But the amp ones do not allow access to the bed. I have a tool box in the bed and like the way the GM ones come down and rotate back.

So weird that I can't find part numbers anywhere.

Wont matter if you can find the part numbers, the OEM steps are also intergrated thru the BCM. The BCM would have to be updated as well, dealer wont be able to do that. You might ask GTPrix (Chris White) if he is able to update the BCM. Only bad is if he can and then you ever take your truck in for work and there is a GM update in the system for your truck/VIN it will over-write his custom programming and put you back to the stock programming for your BCM / VIN.

AMP is the only viable option.

the steps should require a door trigger and a power and ground. This is all available with out programming the BCM maybe can't use a factory harness but you should be able to find these sources the same ones that AMP uese

That door trigger is ran thru the BCM for the OEM steps.

As long as I use relay's off of the BCM I won't take too much voltage to trigger the steps. I wonder if the AMP control box will power the GM steps.

Your missing the point, if the feature is not turned on in the BCM how are you going to use a relay to do anything? Plus, you don't want to mess around with the BCM as it is, the CANBUS data system it communicates on is very sensitive to voltage and load changes. One member on here messed with his BCM and fried it, it wasn't cheap to replace it and the truck isn't driveable while the BCM is down.
