First GMC....

Hi All,

 

New to the forum and looking for something....

 

I just recently bought a GM certified 16 Denali 1500. Coming out of a 12 F150 Lariat. I did not want to buy used, but new I didn't want the payment of a new one. Besides being a used vehicle with some scratches, etc....I want to love this truck but there are a few things bothering me. I have the 6.2 which is great but seems the 8 speed isn't all the smooth especially when she first starts up and in low gears. Also that driver seat squeeks like no other...I had the dealer replace the clip supposedly buy no difference as the leather is rubbing against the plastic it looks like. Also in idle lot of vibration happening is that just the motor mounts? Anyone have any ideas on these things....as I said I do love the truck although it seems smaller cab wise and sits low compared to the ford, but the GMC is so much nicer inside and that motor just wants to cut loose it seams! my dads 2016 is just starting to feel good at about 2k miles.

tranny is very stiff.

cold engine grumbles.

 

I play with manual mode, stretch its legs for him.

Just so you know now- Chances are the only way you'll be completely satisfied with the shifting of the transmission will be to have an aftermarket tune done. That seems to make everyone happy.

Ya i got a 2016 sierra a I'mnot happy with the shifting either. Had a 2003 before this and shifted like butter. To much computer $#!T now.only 800k on my truck so maybe it will settle down.
