1,000 miles in and couldn't be more pleased

I took delivery of my truck on January 6, and will be turning 1,000 miles on my way to the office tomorrow morning. I find it searching for gears every once in a great while, but other than that I have absolutely nothing to complain about. So far I'm averaging 16.5 mpg with the 6.2 and that's about 95% city driving, if not more.

 

Comfort wise, it's smoother than the 2012 Tahoe I came from, and performance wise it's no contest. I have a feeling my mpg would be noticeably higher if I wasn't having so much fun with the new power.

 

With a few small mods already knocked out, all I need to do know is figure out how I want to level it (coilovers or a leveling kit), and what tires to run after said level.

 

It's always an adventure joining a new forum and I couldn't be happier that this is the one I found for the new rig. Keep the advice, input, and truck pics flowing ladies and gents!

Still like their Srt line up 4 door family sports car,I still own 2 dodge 3 chevys it was 4 dodge 1 Chevy,wouldn't trade my Silverado for a Ram even if it was a steal deal.

Because I can't seem to leave anything alone!

 

At this point I may just pull the trigger on +1 size tires and drive it for a year or so before adding any sort of leveling kit.

Your going to love your truck, just try not to listen to the Trolls that surf all Forums! I've had my truck a little over a year, 23,000 miles and absolutely love it!

 

Now just enjoy the heck out of that 6.2 and piss on every Tundra that's foolish enough to mess with ya!
