Transmission issue 2016 2500 6.0

Today well climbing a very steep grade my truck failed the shift, it held the same gear pretty much all the way up the hill with the RPM's hovering around 3,000 to 3300, the truck sounded like it one of the shift but it just wouldn't. I also noticed while driving through this hilly Terrain my grade braking feature never activated on the display. There were times I was going down a hill that it would hold a certain gear but the display never came up? Are either of these things anything to be worried about

Read your manual I believe it says something about putting extra pressure on the gas pedal to down shift.

probably normal! my truck does the same thing only seen the grade braking come on once.I complained about my 2012 cc Silverado shifting too soon on hills now this one drags the shifts way out

I find mine does this when my trans isn't up to temp yet like when I first leave home or work but my 2002 also did this almost like it holds gear to try and warm its self. It stops doing it ounce up to temp
