Sierra heads and tails on a silverado?

Did on a search on the forum which yielded absolutely nothing.

Been doing some searching on ebay, google, etc. for a project/mod idea I have, and I was wondering if the Sierra headlights and taillights are Plug-And-Play on the Silverados

Does anyone know for sure one way or the other?

They are plug and play only if you switch your box and your entire front clip out. Or trade in for a Sierra.

I had a friend who did that to his GMT 400 back when I was in high school (late '90s). Back then, I think it was just the grill and head lights that had to be replaced, but I'm pretty sure you would have to replace the hood, front fenders, grill, bumper, and valence just to get the GMC headlights. Not worth it in my opinion.

 

A worthy alternative might be trying to convert to the Chevrolet LTZ headlights. Probably still expensive, but more realistic.
