Stake sides

I was just discussing with the wife that Home Depot has a mulch sale this weekend and my big Ford is full of compost that is too muddy for me to mess with. I made a mental note that maybe it was time to retrofit my stake sides to fit my new truck when I realized that it doesn't have any stake pockets.

What year GM?? All the new ones have stake pockets. You just need to pop off the little squares that are part of the bed rail caps (not the entire rail -- only the sections over the stake holes).

2016. I have rear holes but no cover that pops off!

maybe not pop off but take a utility knife and cut around the markings.

This truck is far too light to be pulling a dump trailer around with. I do have a little midsize trailer but was hoping to fill up the truck bed and trailer. I am really missing the payload my ford had right now.

If it dries out I will just take the Dooley. Should be able to put 5000 pounds in the bed of that and another Few yards in my trailer. Each trip to Home Depot will be two hours, so I want to maximize what I can get. We got a lot of rain here though, not sure I can even get that truck near my garden right now.

Mine had stack pocket open in rear that is the larger hand hold style of stake pocket, The front SP's have the outlined cover that can be removed. The middle rail stake pockets, the rail cover had no outline for them. Had to drill thru it and cut. Dumb.

I presume you could remove the entire plastic trim that covers the top of the bed rail. I don't know what it would look like under there, but I would almost prefer to have a metal cap on the rail like I did on my old truck.

The plastic caps or replacement caps as you suggest are required on these trucks. The top of the bed is perforated along the length of the box.
