Stake Bed Hole Covers

Recommended Posts

I'd like to plug the rear holes in the bed rail on my 2017 Silverado 1500.

I've googled, but not knowing what they're called for sure I haven't found what I'm looking for.

This is the opening that looks like a rectangle with one corner angled off.

@rangerhgm I bought several sets from railcaps.com . Perfect fit and look great. Hope the info helps!

The ebay link and railcaps.com are the same guy. If it matters they are $2 cheaper at railcaps.com. I haven't bought any but it looks like they will match perfectly!

They fix nice and snug, I've had them in for about a year now.

They're not just stake holes.......angled shape i designed to be a handhold for use with the step in the bumper to get access to the tailgate/bed for those who can't jump over three feet high.

Or a space for my son to stick random stuff in, currently have a spider man bubble whistle in one side and sticks in the other.

I was sick of seeing all the dirt and crap running down the back of the tail lights (when I had LED tails).

Very few can, some of the highest jumpers in the NBA barely cover 40". I really doubt anyone is actually jumping up on to their tailgate or truck bed.

It is a useful feature that saves knees, not sure why anyone would want to cover it up seeing as they own a truck with a bed...

Vertical jump statistics do not account for bending your knees and tucking your feet in order to land on your tailgate.

I keep a step stool in the bed so I don't use the bumper step.

Or taking a few steps and hopping onto the tailgate. With a 2-3 step lead in, it's easily the quickest way up there.
