ATV STOLEN!

Yesterday SiiLT and I awoke to out 96 Honda 300EX GONE from our driveway.

It was parked behind my truck, and we live in the middle of no-where. So, someone would have to have known about it. Police came, took a report, but i doubt we'll ever see it again.

Why do people have to be so low?

Oh you'll probably see it again because it was most likely some kids and they are generally careless when stealing something.

That still sucks though and I imagine it would be nice to have about 5 minutes of non law enforcement supervized time in a room with them.

Sorry to hear about that Zane. Keep your eye on the Want Ad for mysterious sales. If you had it registered, put pictures up around town, someone is bound to know something. Hope you get it back

Yeah that really sucks!! I myself cant leave anything out around here where I live, I think 90% of the population is a thief for a living, it just sucks that you work hard for something and then some bum doesnt do hardly any work at all for it!

That sucks, hopefully you will get it back. I actually had someone steal my garden hose nozle.

Yeah I hope they catch the theives! I've never had one stolen but once I was parked at a restaurant with 2 atvs on a trailer and some *ss stole our seats.

Did you have it covered under any type of insurance?

Yea, i'm going to grab the new want-ad when it comes out this week and for the next few weeks to keep tabs on it.

I would recommend getting ahold of the webmaster @ EXRiders.com (The admin is named Ben) He has a stolen ATV area.... give him your information and maybe that can help. Coming from a fellow owner of a 400EX myself, I feel for you and hope you catch those SOB's!!!!!

I agree with Hill Hound can you get insurance for one? I'm sure you can but would it be worth the cost??

Actually come to think of it...........

It should be covered under your homeowners policy...... I remember when I setup my policy that asked me if I had a ATV. If it was on the policy they more then likely would replace it for the deductable........

We've checked, and yes, our homeowners policy should cover the cost of the ATV minus the deductable.

Still, this pisses me off

They just busted a bunch of guys in West VA selling stolen ATV's. They were nabbing them from the rural areas and trucking them into West VA for resale.

I'll bet you would like to have caught them in the act.

I have mine covered through the same company that I have my auto insurance through. It's a separate policy and it costs about $350/year for my two atvs. Combined they were worth about $11000 new and I'd say about $7500 considering depreciation. One is a 2000 model and one is a 2002. Not only covers theft but also wreck coverage plus personal liability.
