fuel pump part number question 07 yukon denali

I ordered a fuel pump on Amazon part number 19256622 but when i got it the pump has a lable on it that says it's part number is 19256620. I do not know if this is the correct part still or if it is packaged wrong? The dealer gave me the 1956622 part number so i know that is what i should be getting. The original part number for this was discontinued.

The pump reservoir looks different between the two part numbers. One may be for a bigger tank capacity over the other. Can you post a picture?

You'll get more help with this if you tell everyone what you're driving, what engine it has, and if it has dual tanks.

 

I know from your last thread you said you had a 6.2 in that if I remember right, but you never said if it's a half ton or 3/4 ton chassis.

 

Lots of parts have been discontinued by GM on '07s. Go figure ...

It is a 07 Yukon denali xl 1500 with the 6.2. I think the fuel tank is a 30 gallon. Single tank. Last 8 of the VIN 7J387093.

19208963 is the only one available from GM for a FLEX fuel engine. Not sure what the difference is between flex & non-flex pumps, but I do know certain fuel system components on flex engines are built with different materials to resist corrosion from alcohol's love of water.

 

I wouldn't buy a GM pump. GM doesn't give a crap about your vehicle once it's out of warranty. I can bet you the pump you buy from them won't be anywhere near the quality of the one it was built with. Far be it from me to recommend a product from a company that tries to steal from it's own customers, instead of EARNING their customer's hard-earned dollars. Grab a Bosch, Delphi, or other OE branded pump from the vendor of your choice.

I ended up returning the fuel pump just because I was unsure and I went to Summit and found the correct fuel pump, was an extra hundred dollars but at least I know it's right

​I went through this recently with my 03 Burban. Chevy said one part number, while the local parts store gave me another. On one of the pumps I ordered, the 03, and it came in with one connector on it. It was wrong. It wasn't till I yanked the pump, and compared it to the photos on the screen was I able to get/order the correct pump. Turns out, I had an 02 fuel system on an 03 Burban. The 02 fuel system has two connectors while the 03 has one (at least with my aft tank pump).

​Be careful referencing the repair manuals from the parts store. Everything the manual depicted regarding my repair looked nothing like what I observed and have installed in my vehicle. My advice, yank the pump and take it in and compare. Mind you, Chevy wanted over $600 for each pump (I found out I had two tanks) while the local parts store wanted under $300. I'm a fan of OEM but this time, I cut corners.
