Gear Alloy wheels

Just wondering if anyone here has used the gear alloy wheels. I have found a style I really like but am wondering if there are balancing issues or finish issues. I bought a cheap set of vision wheels for my last truck, they looked ok but flaked off badly within 2 years. Is there a consensus on what the best brand of aftermarket wheel is?

Buddy has Gear rims on but he only runs them on the summer. He hasn't had any issues with balancing either and he's running 37s

You realize Gear makes a forged wheel right? Also, there is nothing wrong with a cast wheel. The factory wheels are cast aluminum!!

i didn't say anything is wrong with cast did I? I said billet was good. I've had gears and they were the cheapest, crappiest wheels I've owned.

My comprehension is fine.

"Gear is garbage" Saying that without providing any details as to why they are garbage is worthless. Stating "Cheapest and crappiest" still doesn't tell us the issues you had with them, except you didn't pay a lot. Provide some hard facts what the issues are next time. It will help the community. Spewing generalized BS without any proof just clutters up the forum.

I have multiple friends running those wheels and they have zero issues with them.

All 4 pvd gear wheels peeled and flaked quite a bit within 6 months. The replacement set did as well. I was told from several distributors that they had a large quantity of them refunded. So, yes they are cheap shit and billet is better quality. NOW I said it!

If your comprehension is fine, where did I say anything is wrong with cast? My winter beaters are cast so clearly I'm ok with them
