Anything to watch out for on a 2014 Sierra?

Guys i'm looking at possibly buying a 2014 GMC Sierra Z-71 SLT with a 5.3 engine and 30k miles today.

Other than the typical CarFax reporting, is there anything about this truck that I should look out for?

i would test drive up to 100 to make sure it doesnt have the shake at any speeds you may be driving

Make sure 4WD works in high and low and doesn't make any noise. Make sure the a/c doesn't show any signs of leaking around the front of the condenser or the a/c lines. Of course check underneath for any leaks of any kind.

I didn't think about the 4WD or AC and I'll certainly give that a go before I make the purchase. I have looked under the truck and it appears to be very clean and great condition. Probably the best looking I've seen over others that have a bunch of rust already and the same year.

If you plan on upgrading to Towing Mirror, you will be missing the circuits in the door jamb and will require some additional work if you intend in upgrading :)

No intentions on adding towing mirrors. I have a small 14' trailer that I seldom use so the stock mirrors should suffice.

Since this truck still has some warranty left on it. If I do buy it, is there anything I should take to the dealer to have done - such as recalls, updates, etc?

Well, no dealership whether independent or factory dealer can sell a vehicle without having product safety recalls done. It is a federal crime. If you provide me the last eight of the vin I can tell you if you have any open recalls or field actions.

X2 on the "Chevy shake". Mine had a shake at 76mph that went away with leveling kit and bigger tires - so, easy fix haha

You are investing a great deal of your hard earned money into this purchase and I would recommend spending a little more on a third party inspection. I find my objectivity gets a little clouded when excited about a vehicle purchase. Many automotive service centers. offer an inspection package for potential buyers'. Good luck!

Well the dealer and I couldn't agree on a price for now. So for the moment my search continues for a newer truck.
