De-badged tailgate

Any pics of stripped tailgates?

If you remove the chevy emblem, is there holes or an indent?

I'm picking up my first "new" (2015 midnight edition,Z71) truck with 12k on it this week.

Sooooo excited !!!

No holes. Just take some fishing line and and some adhesive remover or a 3m eraser wheel and take your time.

All I took off was the silverado. I painted my bowtie color match and left my highcounrty emblem on

Here's a picture of my tailgate. I left the bowtie as I like it. Much cleaner look though. I have all badging removed from my truck except the bowties.

Is your whole handle chrome, or is it an overlay (held on by double sided tape)? I have the factory replacement, only the handle is chrome, body is black.

Just did this this morning. Wasn't sure if it would look too bland without the GMC. Made that mistake on my Camaro.

 

Looking at the Z71 and door badge next.

I took it all off. Door badges Z71 badges everything. The only thing I left was the door ding moldings for obvious reason. I get people all the time telling me how good it looks with all that stuff gone. The door badges make a huge difference.

It's an overlay. Looked pretty cheap when I picked it up, but it went on well and hasn't been an issue for over a year. Can't tell just by looking at it.

Like I said in a early post removed silerado and paint to match bowtie and tailgate handle. Left the high country emblem.
