It's ridiculous my truck seems to get new dings by the day!!! All along the sides above the door line as if someone hit it with their door. Idk where they come from but seem like pressure dings or something. Really frustrating

Knock on wood... close to two years ...no dings! I am very selective on how and where I park. I don't believe these trucks will ding easier than any other comparably sized vehicle!

Don't know where your parking to get a new ding every day, but maybe you should stop parking there. I have no dings on my 17, but very selective on where and who I park next too. Had one ding on my 14, thanks to my lovely wife.

Probably need to add an extra wide body molding down the side to give the careless drivers something to bounce their door off of. Heck you could pretty much cover the entire side if needed................Please post pics when done

Yup, it will ding with just the lightest touch. Frustrating. Anyone who uses their truck like a truck is going to ding it up.

Oh well, it's a truck. And trucks get dings.

The sheet metal is very thin on these trucks... anything to save a few pounds. Thank you EPA.

Confusing...either you have door dings or you don't??

Silverado Steve I have DeNtS!!!! Not door dings but like ripple pressure dents, if I had door dings I would obviously know why. I park away from people for the most part.

Cool....your initial post said "As if someone hit it with a door" your words....not mine. There's a post out there with someone who had the same issue.

Found it

Idk man, reread your post it, claims your dents appear from what looks like door dings, maybe edit your title to random denting or mysterious denting.

As ifAnyway....it's like ripples down the side wavy kind of.

Hi My 2018 2500 hd had dents when I picked it up new from the dealership. Metal is paper thin and I find new dings weekly. Leaned up against the tailgate and put a huge dent in it that I had to have pulled. Never seen anything like it. I drove Fords for 30 years and never had anything like this happen. These ARE NOT door dings.  Not happy.

I found the small dings in my front passenger upper fender. Figured out I was causing them while washing the truck. Standing on a step ladder leaning against the fender with my cellphone in my pocket. I had them removed by the dealerships PDR guy. Lesson learned, make sure your pockets are empty when leaning against the truck.
