What are these buttons on steering wheel

Here's an example of me adding home link, 40" lightbar in the grill, under truck cube lights and having then turn on with one of the home link buttons. No after market Switches here lol

I didn't say i was adding this for heated seats? Lol I'm adding the heated steering to have a heated steering wheel and also controls for denalli cluster.

 

But I am adding heated seats and swapping to black cloth and even using the oem dash buttons for the heated seats.

 

This WT is going to be heavily modded, you'll never know it's a WT besides the floor; which I'll never change as I'd never have carpet.

 

- I'm also adding a rear sliding window.

 

- Already added home link.

 

- Already Added Center console

 

- Dimming top mirror

 

- the full led Denali cluster

 

- 8" Upgrade with io5 already done

 

- adding back up cam

 

And the list will keep going. Just follow me for posts about it all. Will post some videos of the mods when I have time.

Is the rear sliding window going to be electric or manual? I'm interested on how you'll go about installing the sliding window as I want to put one in my Silverado regular cab.

Are you considering electric in your standard cab? The reach for the overhead button and the latch on a manual slider would be similar!

I appreciate the challenge and satisfaction of making these upgrades. The economics of such projects can be the biggest hurdle! Do you have access to a donor vehicle or good salvage yard?

I would prefer electric. I would settle for a manual slider but I would need to like the looks of it over a electric one.

Going to be electric and same oem switch in overhead console.

 

Very easy as it doesn't go through the BCM.

 

Got window used for $50 and $150 CAD for parts. Then just have window installed.

 

I'll take a video of install when i do that mod.

 

I have access to a network of scrap yards throughout Canada.

 

What we can do to our trucks if we take on a little challenge can be very fun. I would never buy a $80k truck when I can create a $80k truck for half the value.

Very Cool what you are doing. I once did that to a Toyota pickup truck I bought as a basic no AC no Power no options what so ever. I added ALL FACTORY parts

Yeah, I am thinking a complete updated front end no as well; most likely 16'. I don't think the 17' will work on it; this is just something I've been told.

And why wont the '17 Silverado front end work? Aren't '16 and '17 the same?

i just saw one on you tube with a 2016 swap. I would leave it as is and monotone the truck. Paint everything white with maybe some chrome here and there

I'm not sure, for some reason I think the the front end from 16/17 mounts changed or something.

 

I considered paint matching everything. I just paint matched everything but Bumper.

 

But I do like the new lines in the 2016 front end, flows nicer I find.
