AFE CAI

For those of you with the AFE54-74104, with a 6.2, how loud is this system? I know it's all relative to the person listening. I currently have the ARAID MIT, and worked on the stock air filter box pretty well, and have the stock filter. It has some decent rumble at high RPM, but not too much at all. I like my daily driver vehicles quiet, with little rumble in the exhaust and CAI. Post some video if possible. Thanks!

I have this one but with the 5.3 and it is loud. I emailed AFE to get the plug for the forward opening because it was too loud for my taste. The plug quieted it down some for daily driving. When going full throttle, I would rate the OEM air intake 1 out of 10 on loudness and the AFE Momentum GT either an 8 or 9 out of 10. I don't have any videos for comparison...

I've got a 6.2 and it. It's fairly loud but in my case, I want that. Imo it sounds perfect

At WOT, or heavy accelerating I won't mind that much. Idle, city driving and such, I don't want to sound like a ricer, lol. Did you get a tune with it, or, better yet, did you need one to get all the performance out of it?

I have the 5.3 and I think it sounds really good especially in conjunction with a mild exhaust. It makes the truck sound throaty. When your cruising you won't hear it but if the engine has a load at low rpm's it lets you know it's there and I think it sounds great a full boogie. I don't think it's obnoxiously loud. But I'm also going to be doing headers and y pipe to top of the exhaust which also is not very loud. I tried taking a vid but honestly it doesn't really turn out that well.

It seems loud when you first get it. When I first got it I had stock exhaust. I now have Corsa exhaust and don't notice the intake as much, even running without the front plug.

I already have the Borla Touring system on the truck for a while now, plus a BB tune. The exhaust is great, not too loud or quiet for a daily driver, no drone at all. Thanks for the help so far...
