Did you get a care booklet with the job?

Mine says 'ultimate' on the booklet.

CDNSS,

Best way to know is if the installer gave you a warranty card for the work. This will have all the information on the installation. XPEL ULTIMATE is self-healing, and warrantied for 10 years as mentioned in the thread. If you’ve tried hot water and the scratches didn’t go away, it could mean that it’s not ULTIMATE, or that the scratches were too deep and won’t self-heal. Hopefully your paint is in tip top shape as the film is acting as a physical barrier between you and the road. For more care information, you can go to XPEL.com/care.

I too went the Xpel Ultimate route. Entire front end minus the grille, full hood, full front fenders, A Pillars, roof section between windshield and sunroof and bottom of door jams where shoes frequently rub. Had the windshield tinted as well as the sunroof glass with the UV high block 3M. $1700. Done Feb '15 and still going strong as the day it was installed.

Xpel ultimate is far superior. 3M yellowed on a previous car and I was not impressed. I'm now on my 4th vehicle with Xpel after yesterday. Next month the wife's new car goes in for the same treatment.

How does this stuff protect against rock chips? Honest opinions

Bought my 16 Z71 in Jan of 16. Between then and May 16 I received many chips on the front bumper. Touched them up and had Xpel put on. Not a single new chip on the bumper in 2+ years since. Wish I had put it on the day I got the truck.
