XPEL or 3M pro?

Dropping my black 1500 z71 off in the morning for a film treatment. It's a must imo.The guy says they're authorized with both xpel and 3M. He recommends the 3M

Any opinions on xpel vs 3M?

They both cost the same. $750 for the job.

I have Xpel Ultimate. Shop I used changed over from 3M. I'm pretty happy with it, but have never had 3M to compare. 3M Pro is 8 mil thick with 7 year warranty. Xpel Ultimate is 11 mil with 10 year warranty. For comparison, mine was $650 for grille, bumper, 18" on hood and fenders, and mirror caps.

Agreed, I def won't make that mistake on the next truck of not having paint protection.

I just dropped the truck off. He's going to use the xpel. 10 year warranty. He just did a new red rally edition yesterday.

First off, we want to thank everyone for the XPEL love.

Secondly, just to clear the air so everything is fair. The product from that other company mentioned, and our XPEL ULTIMATE film are both at the industry average of 8-8.5 mil thickness. That is where the similarities stop though. As also mentioned, ULTIMATE is warrantied for 10 Years.

Loco-diablo,

Thank-you for choosing XPEL to protect your brand new Chevy. The Chevy/GMC pickup is actually in our Top 5 of most protected models we do globally. Let us know if there’s anything we can help you with or any questions we can answer.

Just picked up the truck with xpel ultimate applied.

Excellent installation job. I'm hoping the protection is as good as the installation!

Thanks! Yes, my installer thoroughly explained the difference. He also mentioned the industry standard of thickness. With a completely painted front end (zero chrome) it was a must to protect against New England environment!

I have had expel on my painted front end and rocks all the way back for about 2 years now and I am very very happy. One section on the bumper started to yellow the shop that installed replaced the whole film for free. Easier to see yellowing on white paint.
