I wonder if anyone has the same problem?

I have replaced the rear shocks with belstein and the car is still stiff in normal rides, im running on 20" rims on 30 press.

Any advices on how can i make the car smooth?

Please help. Thanks.

Is it a short box or long box? Regular cabs suffer on ride quality due to the short wheel base. Nothing you can change about that. I would add some weight in the bed, say 200-400lbs to load the rear springs a bit that may soften the ride somewhat.

Short box. Removing a leaf spring would help?

Its not a car its a truck.

Put some weight in the bed that may help.

Perhaps...but that might lighten up the rear bump wise. I'd try some weight first and then evaluate.

Gna try to add up some weight first like you said. I think theres a special bag that hold the sand/water to add some weight. Any idea whats its called brother?

Weight Mate comes up a few times googling. Looks like things can be put on top of it as well.

The regular cabs with short bed will ride like a "JEEP" especially if 4whl drive. I opted for the Crew Cab Standard Bed this time which is about 9" longer wheelbase than the Crew Cab Short bed and I am very pleased with the ride. Not the easiest to park at the mall but I hardly ever go there so does not bother me much.

Yeah youre right! A friend of mine has it, its comfortable and no complains at all. I just bought this car cuz it looks nice and to mod it! I have full bolt ons atm and its fast already. Just having an issue with the suspentsions, gna try and put some weights and see how it goes!

Menards sell them I think called sand in a tube (bag)

It's got little to do with the wheelbase. It's longer than most cars at 119". Just 2" shorter than a 1980 Caddy De Ville. What it does have something to do with (RCSB vs DCSB) is the extra 600 lbs. the DCSB it carries on the exact same spring package. Hey! Just like adding 400 lbs. of water/sand in a bag in the box. Imagine that.

It also happens that your old truck had allot more leaves in the spring package and a big less load capacity thus a much more progressive spring the shocks limited rebound dampening could just about handle, but not quite. Shocks ain't going to fix it. Not alone anyway. I'm pretty sure that those who have indicated a huge improvement in ride with XYZ shocks are to embarrassed to say it didn't work considering the money they spent. Or not....

Trucks use to carry 9-7 thinner leaves, then 5 now 2 thick leaves and a helper spring and the ride is just getting worse and worse.

I would look at performance off road shocks from a company like Fox Racing, Icon, King, etc. You might also be able to buy a set of leaf spring packs to help soften the ride too.

Might be able to remove the block between the leaf spring and the rear axle in order to keep the ride height the same. Might have to address the bump stops as you will have more suspension travel.

    • Today I filled up with 4.899 gallons of fuel at a cost of $4.899 a gallon. $24 bucks. 290 miles. 59.2 mpg. After my 4% COSTCO discount just under eight cents a mile.
    • Howdy folks,   Recently I pulled a heated steering wheel and clock spring out of a 2015 Sierra All Terrain (part numbers coming soon - will have to disassemble), and just installed it on my 2016 Sierra WT (as base model as it gets).   On install, I noticed that I’m missing the connector often tucked behind the dash for the heating element.     No problem… or so I thought.   I used an “Add-A-Fuse” at my heated steering wheel fuse location, which has voltage, but no wires. I ran it to the positive of the heated steering wheel (Violet/White), and took black to ground.   Hooked up the battery, turned the truck on - no heated steering wheel. No button backlights. Was pleased to see that my cruise control was working though.   Read a post suggesting reversing polarity, so I gave it a shot. Violet and White to ground, Black to power.    Aha! Heat! But I seemingly can’t turn it off AND still no backlights on any of the buttons.    Checked all fuses, everything is still in good order. I’m stumped.   Does anyone have any insight? If so, please share!
    • I'm about 1800 miles into my last oil change, and yesterday a message appeared saying oil life was at 77%. Not sure why it popped up but I think all of these electronics could be susceptible to solar flares or somesuch. I change my oil right at 3K each time, and that was the first time in 10870 miles that message came up. Strange thing is that it showed on the screen at all since I don't drive with that sort of info displayed on the DIC.

    • Checked the pads today and there's plenty of meat on them. If the message keeps coming up, I'll just answer YES that the pads were replaced and wait for the squeal.
