Text messages through radio

I know I had the ability to see text notifications pop up on my radio screen. I'm not sure when it stopped or what the deal is. Running iOS 10.3.2. Anyone know?

Were you using a USB cord and connecting through Apple CarPlay previously? And now your using Bluetooth?

go to bluetooth settings and click the little (i) next to GMC intellilink and make sure the show notifications is enabled

Mine connects via Bluetooth and I get the text message pop-up on the smaller display by the gauges. Gives me the option to Ignore or Listen.

Mine will show up at the bottom of the big screen with some options.

It is literally easier than changing the radio stations. You press the check button on the steering wheel and it reads them to you.

 

Mine stopped working after I got my new iPhone. I had to got to the Bluetooth connections and press the (i) icon and then enable notifications

My phone is connected via Bluetooth. iPod is plugged into USB and Bluetooth off. Now I can answer phone AND use iPod for music. Otherwise you have to shift over to use one or the other.

My truck wont always read the text messages... I dont know if it is a glitch or what...

I don't think it will read them if someone sent a message with an emoji.

My wife's Buick is that way, I know.

I stopped using it because when someone sends a text with a picture attached, it would read the entire string of digits. The text never did show up on either of my screens.
