gear ratio?

2017 2500 Z71 w/6.0.

 

How can i tell for SURE what gear ratio is in my truck? Nothing on the window sticker tells me. Is there a way to tell with the VIN?

Look in the glove box and you'll see a deal with a bunch of 3 digit letters and numbers. The ones that start with "G" tell you about the axles. Then look up RPO codes on this forum or another site, there's a bunch that tell RPO codes.

x3, your truck has 4.10 gears, end of story.

GT4 = 3.73

GT5 = 4.10

 

As others indicated OP will have 4.10 ratio.

 

3.73 with 6.0 is only available on 3500 srw in either fleet or cc
